ABOUT BACKALLEY BASEBALL
Backalley Baseball is a premier baseball facility created to maximize the potential of the individual. Each athlete will have the opportunity to reach their potential with the latest technology and training methods. Exit velocity, launch angle, and bat speed will be measured for hitters. Spinning rate, vertical movement, horizontal movement, and velocity will be measured for pitchers. We will engage in agility drills, throwing practice, and alternative forms of conditioning to achieve the best possible results. At Backalley Baseball, we want those who will: Trust the Training.
About Wilem
In 2017, during his freshman year of college, Wilem developed a passion for coaching baseball when he could not play due to the intense rehab of Tommy John Surgery. From 2017-2019 Wilem was the Head Coach for the West Coast Braves Organization 13u team. He coached the team until 2019 after which he resumed playing at Cal State LA. During his playing years, he earned all CCAA academic team (2019-2023), Dean's list (2018-2021), Male Athlete Academic Achievement Award (2022-2023), CSC Academic All-District (2023), CCAA Honorable Mention (2022), team captain (2022-2023), and a B.A./M.A. in Sociology. In 2022, he continued his coaching career, giving private lessons to local children. Wilem has 20 years of playing experience and prides himself on teaching the next generation of baseball players valuable life skills.
